Gaming report - July 27, 2007 Back to New Orleans Gamers Home Page
Roll Call: Ann, Michael, Karl, Hilda, Don, Dorie, Bob, Brenda & Scott
On the table: Qwirkle, Mykerinos, Pickomino & Pig Pile
This was as much a birthday party as it was a game session. I hit my big 50 this month (that's age not years of gaming).
|
Qwirkle Players: Don, Scott, Ann Qwirkle is becoming a favorite filler of the GNO Gamers. I don't have details on how the game was played but here are the final scores: Don - 126 Ann - 108 Scott - 105
|
Pickomino Players: Don, Scott, Dorrie "I got a worm!" was the cry we kept hearing from the other table. Dorrie managed to collect the most tasty worms (7) followed by Don (6) then Scott (7) |
|
Mykerinos Players: Michael, Bob, Karl and Hilda In Mykerinos players are famous archeologist who collect artifacts, solicit patrons, appeal to those patrons for help and display there artifacts at the best locations in the museum. In the game you have to make choices between getting the best spots in the museum and collecting patrons who fund your exhibition. Early in the game Karl and Hilda were able to appeal to Sir Brown for some choice spots in the museum. Bob and I concentrated on collecting to patrons until the final season. I was doing the best job of collecting instant victory points from the patrons. I managed to ration my cubes and wisely used Lord Lemmon to have a great fourth season. Old Mrs. Blackmore supported my museum efforts giving me the victory. We didn't take down the scores but I won, Hilda was second, Karl third and Bob fourth.

Pig Pile A game of Pig Pile was started but interrupted for cutting the birthday cake. The game was never finished.
