Roll Call: Ann, Michael, Karl, Hilda, Don, Dorie, Bob, Scott, Jane and Alvin
On the table: Ingenious, Pickomino, Cleopatra & the Society of Architects, Winner's Circle
|
Ingenious Players: Mike, Alvin, Jane & Denise This was the first time I have played this game with the full complement of players. This was the first time Alvin, Jane and Denise had played the game. I believe Denise was the first on to get a piece to the 18th position giving her an extra turn. The game ended when all my markers reached the 18th position. Here are the scores: Michael Alvin Denise Jane 18 11 10 5 |
Pickomino Players: Dorrie, Don, Bob, Scott & Ann While we were playing Ingenious our table some delicious worms were being served up at the other table. Some people will Bar-B-Q anything on Labor Day weekend. Ann was able to eat the most worms winning the game. Here are the scores: Ann Scott Bob Dorrie Don 7 6 5 3 0

Cleopatra & The Society of Architects Players: Michael, Karl, Don, Dorrie & Bob I like this game more with each play. This was my fourth playing of the game and each time I've played it, it has been with new people. The was an unusual game because a door frame was the last item built and mosaics were not completed. Thus, sanctuaries were hard to come by. Don realized too late in the game that he need sanctuaries to get rid of his corruption. Bob had the opposite problem. He gave up too many talents during the games only sacrifice which allowed hime to have only one corruption by game end. I ended the game by building the last door frame with all nine column walls attached that gave me 13 points. Michael Don Bob Dorrie Karl Corruption 9 12 1 10 8 Talents 59 41 29 33 32 |
Winner's Circle Players: Jane, Alvin, Ann, Hilda, Scott & Denise This game is the re-release of Royal Turf. Although this game started with five players it only ended with four. Denise and Alvin left early and Scott took Denise's place. I don't have the scores round by round but here are the final scores:I Ann, Hilda, Jane, Scott, Final Scores $1,900 $1,800 $1,200 $950 I find this game better that Royal Turf, however everyone complained that the color of the horses could have been changed. Two of the horses are very close in color. |
